Written Directions

+ use the images below for additional guidance!

After parking, walk back to the house with the white gate and pass through onto a wide, well-surfaced track (1, 1a1b).

Follow the track until you see a footpath sign off to the right, skirting a copse. The grass is quite long here in summer (2).

After a short distance you will arrive at a well-marked track. Turn left here and then almost immediately right into another grassy area (3, 3a).

This will bring you onto a wide track (4) which leads to a gate and a stile (4a). The gate is usually open so no need to negotiate the stile!

Follow the wide grassy track and where it divides keep following the arrow straight ahead (5, 5a).

You will arrive at a turn to New Barn Farm - turn left here (6) and follow the gradually rising path past the turning to a house (6a), and then bear left (6b).

At the next footpath sign keep left (7) and you will reach a gate into a field (7a). Use the stile and cross the field (7b).

Go over the stile on the other side of the field to emerge into a wooded area - keep straight ahead on the narrow track (8).

This track will lead you into a field (9) - cross over (9a) and keep straight ahead the other side; it's well signposted.

Turn right at the footpath sign (10) and follow the track through the trees with a field on the left. It descends and leads you back to the start.
